GFS Graduate Stop Motion
Recent Griffith Film School graduate, Lachlan Hughes’ entry to 2012 CaneTube.
This entry is a multi-plane stop-motion animated short film about the sugar cane industry and highlights recent changes in farming practices as part of the Reef Rescue program.
It is comprised of 3000 digital photographs played back at 25 frames per second. All the elements were hand crafted from felt, paper, cardboard, balsa wood and an array of other materials including refined cane sugar and coffee beans.
It also features an original composition on the electric guitar.
