You can now choose a free-choice elective course that allows you to volunteer in the community for academic credit. This free-elective course provides an opportunity for you to engage your academic learning with a community-based real life project of around 50 hours in Semester I, II or Summer Semester.
Examples of projects completed by students in Semester I include:
- Finance Liaison and Promotions
- Event Coordinator
- Fundraising Researcher

Many more options are available for you to choose from. Your activity will provide community benefit and could be structured activities, project work, or research, generally for not-for-profit organisations. It can be related to your discipline, or could be an opportunity to explore something outside of your normal discipline learning. If you are already volunteering, you may be able to use that activity as your internship.
