QCA Poland Exhibition
This month, a Queensland College of Art staff exhibition is travelling to Poland.
The seed for this project was planted in 2009 when the first Queensland College of Art, staff, student and Alumni exhibition to Poland, Sharing … Wespół … was opened in Warsaw by the Australian Ambassador to Poland, Ms Ruth Pearce. Her praise for the quality of the works and her impassioned discourse on the significance of the culture they represented, provided sufficient justification to embark on a second and significantly larger exhibition of works representing the artistic endeavours of over 50 academic and support staff of Griffith University’s 130 year old visual arts faculty, The Queensland College of Art, including staff from Griffith Film School and QCA Gold Coast.
We will keep you posted on the exhibition, but as we have just finished the catalogue, we are really keen to share it with you!
A website has also been set up to promote the art that is travelling to Poland and provide a little bit of info on the individual artists, in both English and Polish. Visit: http://poland.qcagriffith.com/
