Graduate Joel Rea finalist in $50k prize
As reported on page 3 of today’s Gold Coast Bulletin, QCA graduate, 28-year-old Joel Rea is the only Queensland finalist in the running to win Australia’s richest art award for young people, worth $50,000.
The 1.25sq m painting depicts Mr Rea in a suit on a beach about to be engulfed by a huge tidal wave while throwing papers out of a briefcase.
