2011 Yvonne Cohen Award now open

Nominations for the 7th annual Yvonne Cohen Award for Indigenous Australian Youth are now open to individuals under 30 years of age looking for leg-up into a creative career.

The Award offers $5000 to the successful recipient and works to recognise creativity in young people within Indigenous communities.

An initiative of the late artist Yvonne Cohen, the award grew out of her belief that young Indigenous men and women could benefit positively from the arts. She left a bequest of a significant amount of money towards the development of the award over a 25 year period.
